Family Spotlight: The Kaisers

Today we want to highlight another amazing family at Solid Rock Christian Academy – Jesse & Lucy Kaiser! We have loved getting to know them better throughout this past year, and now we hope you do as well!

1. Tell us a little about your family.

We are Jesse & Lucy Kaiser and our children Jason (6), Travis (5), & Emily (2). Jason will be in 1st grade and Travis will be in Kindergarten this upcoming school year. We live in rural Tremont and attend the Tremont Apostolic Christian Church. Jesse is an engineer at Precision Planting and Lucy is a stay-at-home mom.

2. Why did your family choose Solid Rock?

We value a strong biblical foundation for our kids’ education, in partnership with academic learning. Solid Rock has been a blessing for us in both of those areas. As we looked into different ways to educate our children, Solid Rock was a good compromise for us between public school and homeschooling. We really appreciate the Fridays off as well!

3. What is your favorite part or what excites you most about Solid Rock?

We really like all the memory verses that the kids learn throughout the year. It’s also special to be part of a community of other believers all raising our kids together.

4. What is your child’s favorite part of school?

Recess, of course!

5. What is a character trait you want to instill in your children?

We pray that our children will live Godly lives and that they will follow and serve Him with their whole hearts. We hope that they truly live out the fruit of the spirit. It’s encouraging that Solid Rock uses the fruit of the spirit in the classroom to promote positive behavior and to encourage the students to live like Jesus Christ.

6. What would be a perfect family day for your family?

A perfect family day would involve a trip to a zoo or wildlife park, followed by a trip to Chick-Fil-A. We would end the day with a gator ride through the woods to look for more wildlife around our house.

7. What is your advice to families that are on the fence about sending their child to Solid Rock?

Taking a tour of Solid Rock really helped us when we were making our decision. We were able to see more clearly what the day-to-day looked like and have our questions answered. And of course, pray about the decision. God has made it really clear to us that Solid Rock is the right place for us.

We are so glad to have the Kaisers at Solid Rock, and thankful for all the prayers and talents they bring to our community!
