Our new combined 4th and 5th grade teacher Mrs. Martin, began teaching this past August, and we think it’s time to give her a proper introduction! We hope you love her as much as we do!

What excites you about teaching at Solid Rock?
I’m so excited to teach about Jesus and disciple kids to know Him deeper! I love being able to pray with the kids and engage in conversations about God on a regular basis! 

What is your favorite subject to teach?
I love to teach reading!!

What experience do you have teaching?
I taught special education for 3 years in Bartonville.  There I got to teach early childhood special education in a morning class and work with students in Kindergarten through 4th grade in the afternoons!

What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend? 
I love to ride my bike, hang out with friends and family, and watercolor paint! 

What would be your dream vacation spot?
I would love to travel to Europe!

What is your main goal with the Fourth and Fifth graders next year?
My biggest goal with the 4th and 5th graders is to love teach student the way Jesus does. At the end of the day, that is what matters most.  I want each child to be cared for, safe, respected, and valued.
