The Dill Family Spotlight.

We have so many wonderful families at Solid Rock, and it’s time to introduce some more! Today, we are highlighting the Dill family, Cole and Paige and their children! We are honored that they are a part of our community.

1. Tell us a little about your family.

Hello! We are Cole and Paige Dill and we have 3 children Theodore (7) Eliza (4) and Janie (2). We live in Tremont and love our little community! Cole is a nurse anesthetist and works at OSF in Peoria and Paige has the privilege of staying home and raising our children. We will be celebrating 10 years of marriage in January! We have always been very involved in our community and our church! One of our favorite things to do as a family is travel! We enjoy the family time and showing our kids the world! In October we get the opportunity to take the kids to Europe and everyone is very excited about that!

2. Why did your family choose Solid Rock?

We have always had a desire to homeschool but knew that it is just not quite right for us. We feel like Solid Rock is the perfect balance for us. We love having Fridays off and not starting till 9! We also value traveling and love that Solid Rock gives us the flexibility to do so.

3. What is your favorite part or what excites you most about Solid Rock?

Theodore has always been very timid and we have seen so much growth in his confidence and skills. We love how much Bible verse memorization Solid Rock does with the kids as we feel that will stick with them through so many seasons of life. It has also been very fun to meet so many new families and form friendships with families.

4. What is your child’s favorite part of school?

When we asked Theo what is favorite part is he said “it’s so hard to choose! I love everything! But I really love Bible. We do fun crafts and learn more about the Bible.”

5. What is a character trait you want to instill in your children?

We want our children to have a solid foundation of truth as they navigate a broken world. We want to teach them how to be loving and kind and show Jesus’ love while still standing up for themselves as well as what they believe.

6. What would be a perfect family day for your family?

A perfect day for us would be all of us together exploring a new place or doing a fun activity!

7. What is your advice to families that are on the fence about sending their child to Solid Rock?

Solid Rock surprised us. We knew we wanted something different than public school but we were not sure exactly what that was. God lead us to Solid Rock and we have been very happy here. There is a sense of community that I was not expecting and we love the smaller class sizes. Theo is a hands on learner and we feel they do a very good job of putting that type of learning in their curriculum. We highly value our family time, which makes the 9am start, Fridays off and not starting till September a very big deal for us and was a big part in our decision!
