About two months ago, a parent of Solid Rock reached out to Maria asking about more details of the renovation process and the money we needed to renovate the remainder of the building to suit our needs in the next few years. We have a very good problem on our hands- GROWTH! Shortly after the conversation God laid on our hearts the need to Close the Gap… of renovation debt. We worked hard to find addresses of past supporters and rallied our Solid Rock families to do the same. Our HR manager and Solid Rock parent worked diligently to write all the flyers and emails to send out to our supporters sharing our needs and goals. We also gathered willing parents, volunteers, and our construction manager, to speak on behalf of the school.

It was a lot of work upfront, but God has BLESSED this effort.
We asked God for a BIG request… and He has continued to keep us in Awe of Him…not that we need another reason though! Listening to all of the “God stories” coming from the director and the parents involved with Solid Rock as well as the donations that keep coming in everyday, we are so amazed with God’s goodness. Our debt gap was very large 6 weeks ago, and God is Closing the Gap!

We feel so blessed this Christmas season by the support of our wonderful community.

For those who may not have heard, we reached our Closing the Gap Matching Goal of $75,000 – making the total gift this Christmas season of $150,000 raised from over 94 donors and 20 zipcodes!! Because of your generous giving, one of our supporters called Maria wanting to keep the momentum going! They pulled together some friends and offered another Matching Gift of $50,000!

SO FAR, we are well over halfway to our new Match Goal – with $33,307! Thank you doesn’t even begin to touch the surface of the generous hearts who have given so much for our students of Solid Rock.

We want to give all glory to God – He has answered our prayers far more abundantly than we ever thought! We have 12 MORE DAYS to CLOSE the GAP. Please join us in Prayer and Thanksgiving!
