We reached out to another special family at Solid Rock – the Marks! Jared and Kayla and their two boys, Barrett & Harrison are very involved with Solid Rock Christian Academy – and we enjoy working alongside them in the classroom and on our remodel project!

Tell us a little about your family.
Hello, we are the Marks family! We love the outdoors and adventure. Barrett is 5 1⁄2 and is super
active, loves to bike, and play outdoors. Harrison is 3 years old and loves all things dinosaurs!
You will typically always find us working on a project, either at home or for our friends! We have
loved being involved with the remodel of Solid Rock!

What is your favorite part or what excites you most about Solid Rock?
There are several aspects of Solid Rock that we love! Christ centered curriculum, small class
sizes and community!

What is your child’s favorite part of school?
Art and Math

What does your child want to be when he grows up?
A Professional Mountain Biker!

What is your volunteer role at Solid Rock?
Our family is a part of the maintenance, lawn care, and building/cleaning team, as well as
helping in other various roles that come up!

What is your go-to family favorite dinner?
Tacos or any Mexican dish!

What is a character trait you want to instill in your children?
Honesty

What would be a perfect family day for your family?
A perfect family day would have to consist of two things, being outside and being together!

What is your advice to families that are on the fence about sending their child to Solid Rock?
Pray, talk with your family, tour Solid Rock, or reach out to a family who is involved! It truly is a special school!
