Ms. Corrie has graciously accepted our music teacher position for this year, as our previous teacher just had a baby this past week! Help us give Ms. Corrie a big Solid Rock hello, and let’s get to know her a little more:

Tell us a little about your family

I’ve been married to my husband, Dustin, for 25 years and we have 5 kiddos, one daughter-in-law, and a super sweet grandson! 

What are you most excited to teach at Solid Rock?

Music makes me happy, and I am so thrilled to get to share all my favorite songs and instruments with the kids.  

Why did you want to teach at Solid Rock?

Jesus is the reason! I love that I can openly share my faith, and it is an absolute joy to watch the kids worship the Lord through song.

What is your go-to family favorite dinner?

We love all things Mexican!

What is a character trait you want to instill in our students at Solid Rock?

Joy. If you can find joy in the little, everyday things, it makes life so much more enjoyable! 

What would be a perfect family day for your family?

Our kids range from 24 down to 9, so any day that we just to get to be all together really and truly is the perfect day. If you threw in a theme park, we wouldn’t be sad. 😉 

What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

I’m cheating here…..I have two favorites.
John 14:27. Because hard things happen in life, and His peace is such a gift in the midst of a storm. & Proverbs 17:22. Because a joyful heart really IS good medicine!
